SWINGBAND

Our third CD continues the Cleveland TOPS Swingband tradition of recording and producing musical memories for those audiences who appreciate the timeless songs that were vital to the big band era.

We dedicate CD#3 to all who have joined us in fulfilling our mission...more and more Classic Big Band Music for Seniors by Seniors.

Five selections on the CD are represented.

The song samples below are encoded in stereo mp3 format. Make sure your speakers are turned on. If you don't hear the music when you click the link, you may need an mp3 player or an upgrade. Download the FREE Quicktime player from Apple, Inc. Available for either Mac or Windows.

SONG SAMPLES

1. Time After Time. This love song gets a warm treatment by Ron Davis...an exciting up-tempo arrangement by Don Schamber with solos by Dick Wooley and Joe Trzcinski.

2. What Are You Doing New Years? A plaintive rendition by Betsy Guy of one of her favorites.

3. Blue Skies. Bob McKee gives a "seminar" for aspiring big band drummers on this drum feature arranged by Dick Wooley.

4. Over The Rainbow. Judy Garland may have made this song a major hit, but Ruth Griebel makes it every bit as touching and plaintive.

5. The Way You Look Tonight. an easy version of this love song by the ever swinging Larry Patch.

Note: All arrangements for this CD are by Dick Wooley except Time After Time, and I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself A Letter.
